The Occult module allows changing some Occult Sim options (Vampires and
Aliens). Some of the features include:
- The way some occult-specific interactions work (like alien abductions).
- It also controls who can and cannot get pregnant through alien abductions.
- It allows setting what types of offspring will be born when aliens become pregnant with other Sims.
- It allows setting what types of offspring will be born when vampires become pregnant with other Sims.
- It allows enabling a “Risky Vampirism” option that can spread vampirism through feeding.
- It allows changing the experience rate on Vampire skill progression to make it easier or harder to level-up a vampire.
- Additionally, a setting is available to allow NPC vampire Sims to “skill-up” as they age.
- Along the same lines, there is a setting to allow modifying the vampire aging so it is more configurable. An exact age that vampires stop aging can be set, beyond the “Young Adult” that EA has set as a default. Or, aging can be set to “Normal” Sim aging and vampires age like any other Sim.
Rules that determine whether pregnancy can happen for an abducted Sim
- If the Sim doesn’t match the Occult Age or Gender settings, they will not get pregnant.
- If the Sim is set to Neither “Get others pregnant” or “Become Pregnant” (by selecting the Neither pregnancy setting, last option listed in CAS), they will not get pregnant.
- If the Sim is set to only “Get others pregnant” in CAS, they will not get pregnant.
- If there are no free slots in the house, they will not get pregnant.
- If their spouse is pregnant, they will not get pregnant.
- If there are any babies already in their house, they will not get pregnant.
- If the Sim is homeless and you have homeless pregnancy disabled in settings, they will not get pregnant.
- The number of children the Sim has already conceived is equal to the Maximum Household Children.
