MCCC 2026.6.0 Change Log
- Per Chris Davis's request, I added a new flag for never moving Sims (MCCC > Sim Flags > MC Population > Flag to Never Move). When this flag is set on a Sim, MCCC will not move that Sim as part of the features that normally would move them: Single Sim moves, Retirement Sim moves, marriages, romantic relationship changes. It does not apply to active Sims, of course, since their moving is always under the player's control. Note that flagging a Sim in this way may cause them to be bypassed for things that could normally happen with them. They might never get married through a random marriage, for example, because they can't move-in with a possible spouse.
- I had a bug brought to Discord where a player set the Maximum Offspring for humans to 2 and, after doing so, their percent settings in Offspring Percent were not saving correctly when they updated them. I've been looking into it and the reason is really pretty simple. There are two Maximum Offspring settings: human Sim and pets. When someone has the human Maximum Offspring count less than the pet Maximum Offspring count, this problem can occur. The cause is simple, but there isn't really a good fix for it. In the core Sims 4 code, there is only one set of offspring percents for any pregnancy type. Doesn't matter if it's pet or human or whatever. It uses the same percent definitions. Technically, there should only be one "Maximum Offspring" as well to match this. However, in the past, it was requested I add a seperate setting for pets. Now, to fix this correctly, I'd just remove the Pet Maximum Offspring setting. Then it would work as expected, always. However, I think more people are likely to miss the setting when I remove it than there are that are affected by the issue that was reported. So for now, I don't see any reason to change anything. It's just the way it works due to the limitations of the core code.
- I had a request to change the university rate change flag so it could be used with children and teens. Some players have mods that allow teens and children to join university. MCCC has a university difficulty setting and homework speed setting in MC Careers and there is a freeze university flag. The difficulty setting and homework speed should already work for any Sims that join university based on other mods. MCCC just alters the existing tuning files to make them slower/quicker and doesn't do anything on them with ages so if younger ages are allowed due to other mods, the MC Career settings should work fine on them. The Freeze University flag was gated by age of Young Adult. I removed that limitation so the Freeze University flag will show-up on all Sims ages of Child and older now.
- Per HavØć's request, I changed the way the Move Single Sims setting works (MCCC > MC Population > Moving Settings > Move Single Sims). Previously, it was just a true or false to move single sims to available open lots during the moving cycle. Now, it is has multiple settings. It can be left at the default to not move any single sims at all. It can be set to move them to open lots, if any are available. Finally, the new functionality is to move them to a new homeless household. If the previous Move Single Sims was enabled by the player, the new setting will have the "Move Into Open Lot" option carried-over automatically.
- Due to the way that all processes run at the same time in the Python scripting of the Sims 4, there was a timing issue that occurred when using both the "Manual Confirmation" on random marriages and the "Manually Rename Spouses" setting. Since everything runs at once, the dialogs could overwrite or just not work right together. I spent a lot of time this week working on the timing and getting the Manual Confirmation dialogs to trigger all needed Manual Rename dialogs when all of the confirmation dialogs have completed. This is the only way to really get the dialogs to work together due to how things run in script, but it should work better now in these cases.
- Noticed in the Population logging that it wasn't possible to choose to get a list of Fairy Sim names. I could have sworn I fixed this before, but it's fixed now for sure!
- Per Moozilla's request, added a setting to hide fairy wings (MCCC > MC Occult > Fairies > Hide Fairy Wings). When this is enabled, Fairies will not spawn onto a lot showing their wings by default. Note that I'm not enforcing this setting on the current active Sim. The show wings/hide wings for the active setting persists between lots so I feel it's easy enough for players to set that on the active Sim how they want it.
- Fix issue where player could be billed twice from MCCC's bill auto-pay if they were off the lot when the billing process happens (5:00AM on Monday).
- Added a new option to the Import Sim Name setting (MCCC > MC Population > Populating Settings > Import Tray Settings > Import Sim Name) to choose "Keep Last Name". This setting will always set the last name of the imported Sim to the tray Sim's last name. This really only applies to a duplicate Sim import because non-duplicate Sims will have the first name and last name from the tray Sim. Previously, you really only had the option to keep duplicate Sims with a duplicate name or to replace their first and last name.
